Ziprasidone Drug Information

Schizophrenia is a psychological problem that disrupts ideas and beliefs. People with schizophrenia also experience hallucinations. Ziprasidone is used to relieve the symptoms of schizophrenia and other mental health problems (symptoms such as hearing, seeing, hallucinations, misconceptions, and suspicious unexpected feelings). Although the exact cause of schizophrenia is not known, it is thought to be associated with an imbalance of certain chemicals (neurotransmitters) in the brain. Ziprasidone balances the chemicals in the brain. Injectable ziprasidone rapidly reduces anxiety and worry.
