Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is an autoimmune disease, your immune system usually produces antibodies to protect you against germs such as bacteria and viruses. Sodium arotiumlate belongs to a group of drugs known as disease-modifying antirheumatic drugs (DMARDs) and works by suppressing the immune system.
