Methoxalane capsules with controlled ultraviolet light (UVA) are used to treat severe psoriasis. Methoxalane increases the skin's sensitivity to UVA light, and this compound slows the overgrowth of skin cells.

Dosage and method of methoxalane capsules

  • Read the package leaflet carefully before starting treatment with this medicine. This brochure will help you to get comprehensive information about the drug and its possible side effects.
  • The dose and amount of methoxalane capsules vary from person to person; Use the medicine exactly as your doctor advised.
  • Keep your skin out of the sun 24 hours before, during and 48 hours after taking this medicine and UVA treatment, because this medicine, along with ultraviolet rays, makes your skin sensitive.
  • Take methoxalane capsules about 2 hours before UVA treatment with food or low-fat dairy. Low-fat dairy increases drug absorption and reduces nausea.
  • If you forget to take your daily dose at the right time but soon forget to take it; But if you remember when the next dose is about an hour away, do not take the missed dose. You should not take two doses of the medicine together because of the missed dose.

 

Contraindications Methoxalane capsules

  • Note the expiration date of the methoxalane capsule and do not take it if your medicine has expired.
  • Never give methoxalane capsules to another person, even if you have the same symptoms.
