Hydrocortisone Drug Information

Hydrocortisone is a natural substance (corticosteroid hormone) made by the adrenal glands. Hydrocortisone lowers your immune system's response to various diseases to reduce symptoms such as pain, swelling, and allergic reactions.

Hydrocortisone is also used to treat adrenal gland diseases (such as Addison's disease and heart failure). Corticosteroids are good for the body in many ways; They are very useful for salt and water balance and maintaining the body's normal blood pressure.
