Hydrocodone Drug Information | Hydrocodone

Hydrocodone is a narcotic drug (sometimes called a narcotic) that is used to relieve moderate to severe pain that has not been cured by other painkillers. Hydrocodone works in the central nervous system (brain and spinal cord) by attaching to some small areas called receptors. This will reduce the pain and reaction to the pain in you.

Hydrocodone tablets or capsules are sometimes abused as narcotics, and the person injects the contents of the drug, which will have bad side effects. For this reason, hydrocodone is prepared in combination with other non-narcotic analgesics such as acetaminophen and ibuprofen to prevent abuse (injection) of this drug. Information about these combination drugs is available on separate pages, which you can refer to for more information.
