Galga Drug Information

Galega tablet is an herbal medicine made from the leaves of the modified seed of Galega officinalis. Galga has been used for many years in Europe to treat diabetes. This plant has hypoglycemic properties and is used to treat diabetes due to the guanidines in its leaves (as a model for the synthesis of hypoglycemic non-guanidines such as metformin). Also, this plant reduces blood sugar by preventing the absorption of sugar in the intestine, and due to the decrease in the absorption of sugar in the intestine, in addition to reducing blood sugar, weight and fat loss is also observed.

The correct amount and method of taking the drug

  • Read the package leaflet carefully before starting treatment with this medicine. This brochure will help you to get comprehensive medication information about the drug and its possible side effects.
  • The dose and amount of Galega varies from person to person; Use the medicine exactly as your doctor advised. Usually the maximum dose for treatment with Galga is 1-2 tablets three times a day. If you are taking other antihypertensive drugs, the dose should be reduced.
  • Take Galga tablets regularly and at a set time with some water.
  • If you forget to take your daily dose at the right time but soon forget, take the medicine; But if you remember when the next dose is near the hour, do not take the missed dose. You should not take two doses of the medicine together because of the missed dose.

Contraindications to the use of Galga

Pay attention to the expiration date of Galga medicine and do not take it if the medicine in your hand has expired.

Never give Galega to another person, even if you have the same symptoms.

The effect of taking Galega on driving

Galga can cause low blood sugar and symptoms such as dizziness, blurred vision and weakness. Avoid driving until these symptoms go away.

 Galga drug interaction

Drug interactions may alter drug performance and increase the risk of serious side effects. Make a list of all the medicines (including prescription / over-the-counter and herbal medicines) you use and share them with your doctor and pharmacist. Do not change the dose of your medicine without consulting your doctor or stop taking the medicine.

Many medications can affect your blood sugar levels and make it difficult to control your blood sugar. Before you start, stop, or change any medication, talk to your doctor or pharmacist about how to take the medicine (the medicine that works on your blood sugar level). Check your blood sugar levels regularly and consult your doctor if you notice a sudden change in your blood sugar (high or low blood sugar). If you have serious side effects, talk to your doctor about changing your medication dose, exercise program, and diet.

 Galega Consumption Warning

Some medications may not be prescribed under certain conditions, and some medications may be prescribed if additional treatment is needed; Therefore, it is best for your doctor to be aware of the following before taking Galga:
