Ceftriaxone belongs to the family of cephalosporins and is used to treat various bacterial infections of the lungs (pneumonia), skin, bone, joint, blood, heart valves and urinary tract. Ceftriaxone is also used to prevent infection after surgery. This drug prevents the spread of infection by preventing the bacteria from multiplying.

 

Dosage and method of use of ceftriaxone
