Cephalothin is an antibiotic (a component of cephalosporins) that is used to kill gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria and treats a variety of bacterial infections such as bloodstream infections, bone and joint infections, respiratory tract infections, urinary tract infections and skin infections. Cephalothin prevents the spread of infection by preventing the growth of bacteria.
